Lightstreamer Startup Program
We want to help fresh and innovative companies achieve their goals by providing Lightstreamer licenses at a very fractional price!
At a fixed price of $89 per month, for 12 months, you can develop your application and go live with any product, edition, and configuration of Lightstreamer for any purpose, including production, with no limitations. Even full maintenance and support is included in this price.
How to apply
Who qualifies for the Startup Program? Any company with less than $1,000,000 in annual revenue based on the latest financial statement or any new company in its first fiscal year can qualify. We review the applications and reserve the right to reject any application for any reason. What can I do with the Lightstreamer products under the Startup Program license? You are entitled to a time-limited non-exclusive non-transferable license, as per the Standard License Agreement. In other words, you can use Lightstreamer for any purpose (development, test, and full production, including billable services), but you cannot re-sell the Lightstreamer software. What Lightstreamer editions and configurations can I use under the Startup Program license? You can use whatever edition and configuration of Lightstreamer you need. There are no limitations on the number of servers, users, and features. Will I get technical support from you? Yes, under the Startup Program you will be entitled to the regular support and maintenance services as a Lightstreamer customer. How long does the Startup Program last? Eighteen months from the execution date of the agreement. What is the price to pay if my company is eligible for the Startup Program? $828 (plus taxes if applicable), which corresponds to $89 per month for 12 months, for any edition and configuration of Lightstreamer. What happens when my company reaches $1,000,000 in revenues? You will have to choose among: purchasing or renting regular Lightstreamer licenses; using the free edition of Lightstreamer Server (Moderato); or stop using Lightstreamer. In case you choose to purchase a regular license, if a residual unused part of the start-up period is available, it will be applied as discount at the value of $89 multiplied by the number of unused months. What happens when the Startup period ends? At the end of the Startup period (12 months) you will be able to choose among: purchasing or renting regular Lightstreamer licenses; using the free edition of Lightstreamer Server (Moderato); or stop using Lightstreamer. What happens if I decide to purchase a regular license before the end of the Start-up period ? In case you decide to interrupt the Startup Program and purchase a regular Lightstreamer license before you reach $1,000,000 annual revenue, the entire value of the Startup Program will be applied as a discount. What is the price to pay to purchase a regular license? While in the Startup Program, you can use any product and edition of the Lightstreamer product family with no limitations on the number of servers and users. The cost of a regular license will depend on the configuration you choose. During the review of your application, we will provide you with full information on the list price of Lightstreamer for your specific project, and you are free to ask us for additional reviews at any time. How is the license validation performed? An online license manager is used to periodically perform license checks. When the license expires (for any of the reasons above), the online license manager will not authorize the execution of the Lightstreamer Server processes. What will Lightstreamer communicate about my company? We will publicly mention your company as a customer, but we will not provide any further information without your authorization. You will have to show the provided "Powered by Lightstreamer" logo on your application home page and any printed materials. In any case, if your project goes public and succeeds, you will agree to write and publish a success story on the use of Lightstreamer. Why is Lightstreamer doing this? We want to encourage and help start-ups, who are often very innovative but are tight on budget. We know that if they succeed, we succeed!
