Four editions of
Lightstreamer are available (Moderato, Allegro, Presto, and Vivace).
Lightstreamer Moderato can be used free of charge for any service or
product, whether free or commercial (learn more).
For Lightstreamer Allegro/Presto/Vivace you can choose
between two different license models (the Server License and
the Site License) and two different license durations (perpetual license
and annual license rental).

| License Duration |
It is possible to purchase a perpetual
license, with a one-off fee, or to choose license rental, with an annual fee.

| Server License |
With the Server License model, one License is required for each deployed instance of Lightstreamer Server, irrespective of the number of
CPUs and the number of concurrent users.

| Site License |
With the "Site
License" model, one License is for an
installation on a single geographical site, on an arbitrary number of machines
located on that site. This means that all the machines can be in different offices
but must be based at the same address. This licenses may not be split over
different Sites. A Site License defines the maximum number of concurrent
users (sessions) that the set of installed Lightstreamer Servers will allow.
In case more than one Site License is purchased, the aggregated maximum
number of concurrent sessions may be split over different Sites.
The cost of the site license fee is composed of a fixed part
and a variable part.
The cost of the variable part is determined by the
maximum number of concurrent sessions.
Different session packs are available.

| Stand-By Mirror Licenses |
It is possible to deploy one or
more Stand-By Mirror Installations for business continuity and disaster recovery.
A Stand-By Mirror Installation is defined as a set of Lightstreamer Servers that are
activated only when the Main Active Servers and any other Stand-By Mirror Installations
are not active.

support, corrective maintenance, and version upgrades.
