How this application works: Lightstreamer is an Ajax/Comet framework, comprised of a client part (a library that registers with the Hub) and a server part (a push/streaming engine). The remote Lightstreamer Server (located in Milan, Italy) pushes real-time market data (randomly generated) to all connected clients. The Lightstreamer client receives the events, displays them within its visual component (OverwriteTable) and publishes them, on the client side, through the Hub. Both the sample datavis component and the Dojo charting component subscribe to these events on the Hub and display them. |
